C-Section package $ (Two nights)

Includes:

• Operations room and surgical equipment (2 hours).
• Cardiac monitoring.
• Recovery room.
• Operating room material, solutions, healing, and BASIC PACKAGE of medications, (including anesthesia equipment) to be used during the procedure.
• Medical care by qualified personnel 24 hours a day, during the 2 days of hospitalization.
• Previous agreement between the couple and the physician (bilateral salpingectomy).
• Qualified neonatologists care, from the moment of birth and stay in nursery.
• Healing material for a normal procedure without complications.
• Transitional Care Nursery.
• Physiological Nursery.
• Expanded newborn screening.
• Standard Room.
• Extra bed for accompanying person (2 nights)

Does not include:

• Surgical material, solutions, healing, and BASIC PACKAGE of medications, (including anesthesia equipment) to be used during the procedure.
• Medical care by qualified personnel 24 hours a day.
• Previous agreement between the couple and the physician, (includes bilateral salpingectomy).
• Qualified neonatologists care, from the moment of birth and during the two day stay in nursery.
• Healing material for a normal procedure.
• Transitional Care Nursery.
• Physiological Nursery.
• Expanded newborn screening.
• Standard Room.
• Extra bed for accompanying person.

Conditions, sections and limitations of obstetric package.

• The package includes hospitalization, medication and surgical material for the mother’s and newborn’s care under normal conditions.

It does not include treatment for complications or reinterventions.

• The Mom and the baby, will have highly qualified medical care (Pediatricians and Obstetricians) 24 hrs a day, during their stay in the hospital.
• No refunds of any kind for services, materials or medications not used.
• The EXPANDED NEWBORN SCREENING TEST must be performed before the newborn’s discharge.
• In case that the Mom and the baby are not discharged at the same time, i. e. one of them is hospitalized, a new account for services rendered to the one staying in the hospital will be generated, which shall be paid by the patient or representative to Médica Sur the day the patient is discharged.
• The package includes normal nursery, if the baby requires another type of nursery, it will have an additional cost.
• If the patient decides to upgrade the room from normal to suite, only the cost caused by the Mom will be charged.

• The Anesthesiologist and Pediatrician must be affiliated to the hospital’s Medical Society.
• The package includes full time accommodation for the baby and parents in the same room (optional).
• NOT applicable to medical insurance.
• You can buy the package from the 3rd. month of pregnancy and in advance at least 2 weeks prior to the probable date of birth or cesarean section.
• Ask in Admission and Cashier for our monthly payments financing.
• Prices won’t change after you pay the package.
• Packages can NOT be purchased upon the patient being admitted.
• The package must be paid in full before the patient being admitted.
• The payment can be done in cash, credit card or check.

*The check must be printed with the name of the drawer, updated date and show official ID (IFE –Mexican voter’s id- or PASSPORT, no other form of id).

• The payment (s) shall be done at the Patients Admission area, located in the Hospital Tower, ground floor, where you will be issued a PROVISIONAL RECEIPT for your partial payment
• You will receive an INVOICE for your package once the patient is discharged together with the newborn.
• Medical fees (Gynecologist, assistant, Anesthesiologist and Pediatrician), are NOT included in the packages and will be paid independently.
• When you purchase your Obstetric package, you will receive a special price on the Perinatal Education Course, which is taught in our facilities (from the 5th month and a half of pregnancy).

Recommendations on what to bring along to the hospital

Luggage for your hospital stay:

• Three nightgowns or robes for nursing practice.
• Three nursing bras.
• 3-4 panties.
• Disposable breastfeeding protectors.
• Personal grooming items: comb, brush, shampoo, soap and sponge, cream, toothbrush and toothpaste, dental floss, makeup, etc.     
• A change of clothes to leave the hospital, same size you wore at the 5th month of pregnancy.
• A change of clothes for the baby, to leave the hospital: shirt, overalls, sweater and blanket.
• For Dad: PJs or sweatpants, socks, toothbrush and mouthwash, comb, lotion, shaver, underwear and a change of clothes.

It should be noted that during the admission, the Patient and Relatives Services advisor will give you a “Welcome kit” with personal grooming items (soap, toothpaste, toothbrush kit, deodorant, showercap, thermometer and slippers).      
And when the Mom is discharged from the hospital, she will receive a complimentary Bath Robe; and the baby a bassinet and a diaper bag.

During labor (optional):

• Socks.
• Tape recorder, Ipod and Walkman, with your favorite music.
• Bittersweet candy or lollipops.
• Powder or massage oil.
• Chapstick.
• Glasses (if needed)
• Hairband or scrunchie.
• Facial towel.
• If you are going to film or take photos, make sure that your camera or camcorder has battery and/or film.
• A manual fan.
• An object or picture that makes you feel accompanied or to focus your attention.
